Young V&A

Opening July 2023

The most ambitious redevelopment of the V&A’s original east London outpost (previously known as the V&A Museum of Childhood) in its 150 year history. I joined the existing curatorial team as Curator to bring innovative contemporary design thinking to a project championing creativity on the curriculum. Set to nurture the next generation of artists, designers, makers, and innovators, this has been a redevelopment of the entire institution from the ground up, utilising objects from across the V&A’s art and design collections and many new acquisitions and loans and co-curating with our audience. The museum is moving on from displays that instil nostalgia in older visitors, becoming a space that actively engages our young audience and their families with creative processes. The ambition is to start visitors on a journey that will develop their interest in design and creative pursuits as they grow with the V&A museums.
